New LCD Replacement Set

Are you willing to put your phone in a low-performance status after you've spent so much money on it? We think not. While these used to be costly, you can save up on cash by doing it on your own! Here's how.

Removing the LCD

  • Turn off the power before removing the screen.
  • Step 2: Remove the two screws next to the microphone.
  • Place the suction cup under the screen and slowly lift it up until there is a gap between the screen and the back cover.
  • Use the triangle rocker to circle the screen. Gently pry open the rear case.

Note: Do not open the display more than 90o, otherwise the connector may be damaged.

  • Open the screen gently, separating from the back cover and taking care not to pull the connection cable.
  • Remove all screws from the battery connector bracket. Please mark the location of the screws. Because of the screws have long or short, if you put the screw in the wrong place or it will damage the screen.
  • Disconnect the battery cable, display, and touch the cable.
  • Remove the home button assembly of the old screen.

    • Start by attaching your earpiece ribbon cable, camera, and proximity sensor to your new LCD screen
    • Attach the biggest metal plate and make sure that it's above the LCD ribbon cable. Attach the camera bracket too.
    • Attach your home button and followed it by the bracket above it.
    • Take the screen and plug all 4 ribbons onto the board. Followed by the bracket above it.

    • Turn off your phone and eject the sim card and micro SD tray
    • Apply heat to soften the adhesive and gently pry open the back panel
    • Detach the fingerprint scanner
    • Remove the 15 screws to detach the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly and battery connector
    • Disconnect the display and digitizer connector.
    • Remove the 5 screws to detach the type c charging connector, microphone, and headphone jack.
    • Carefully lift the screen assembly away from the midframe, gently pulling the display connector through the hole in the midframe.

Note: Before installing a new display, it's very important to remove all traces of the old adhesive from the frame, while taking special care to remove any small glass fragments.

    • The best way to secure the new screen is with a sheet of custom-cut double-sided tape. Apply the tape to the back of the screen, then carefully feed the display cable through the frame. Align the screen and press it into place.
